Ascent has appointed Kevin Cleary as Chief Operations Officer

Ascent Underwriting, a specialist Managing General Agent (MGA) providing coverage for emerging cyber risks, has appointed Kevin Cleary as Chief Operations Officer.

In addition to his COO role, Cleary will be responsible for the development and growth of an international financial lines portfolio. This is part of the company’s strategy to build on its strong cyber business by diversifying into complementary lines utilising proven product innovation and its efficient online underwriting platform.

Cleary joins Ascent from The Navigators Group where he was Head of International Delegated Underwriting. He has extensive experience in both underwriting compliance and the professional lines markets having previously held senor underwriting positions at Channel Syndicate, Allied World and DUAL Corporate Risks.
