August 2014

Ascent has further enhanced its CyberPro product with the addition of Telecommunications Fraud which has been added to their already comprehensive electronic theft and crime coverage.

The extension provides protection to an insured for loss sustained arising from unauthorised use of their telecommunications network.

Telecommunications Fraud is the use of a telecoms system without the intent to pay. The loss often arises from fraudulent call transferring or the diversion of premium numbers to a network leaving the subscriber of such network with large bills, often running into many thousands of pounds.

“ Ascent continues to provide proactive solutions to emerging risk, we work closely with our broking partners and look for ways to ensure our product remains market leading.

Telecommunications Fraud is heavily talked about in the media and is a growing concern for our client base. We have therefore, further extended our unique CyberPro policy form to provide indemnity for these losses. ”
